The purpose of the Junior League of Spartanburg’s Read and Dine Literacy Training program is to provide after school training for parents and children to help promote our focus on literacy and school readiness. The League hosts a literacy training sessions in a Spartanburg County elementary school each year, training parents on the different components of literacy including decoding and comprehension. We also enjoy a fun dinner, craft, and story time with the students. Each child goes home with a brand new book!
