Women Impacting The Spartanburg Community Since 1940

The Junior League of Spartanburg, Inc. (JLS) is an organization of women whose mission is to advance women’s leadership for meaningful community impact through volunteer action, collaboration, and training. We are very proud of the historic reputation we’ve built within our community, and we continue to adapt and evolve as society changes. We strive to put our mission and vision to work in modern ways, demonstrating our pride and perpetuating our legacy by serving as a powerful voice for action and change in Spartanburg County. Together, we are working to empower our members and are committed to impacting our community to the best of our abilities.

As part of our mission, JLS accepts proposals from new members interested in volunteerism, leadership training, and meeting new people on a semi-annual basis. A new class of members is welcomed each fall and spring.

New Member Interest Meetings are held in the summer for women interested in joining the League in the fall, and in the winter for women interested in joining the League in the spring. Potential JLS members should be at least 21 years of age and reside or work in Spartanburg County. The application period for our fall cohort of 2026-27 new members is open through August 24 , 2026
